and Garden Show for seven years. Each year producing water features,
garden ornaments, furniture, gates & fences, many being award
winning displays. |

Natural
Inspirations aims to create unique, sculptural features, to enhance
any garden with a flair for the unusual. Always
thinking outside of the square, Natural inspirations creates
water features; garden ornaments, and sculptures adding interest
intrigue and tranquillity to the garden. Natural Inspirations
feels that any form of art enhances the emotion and atmosphere
of any garden. |
Melissa
Thomas of Natural Inspirations is creating new and unusual
water features, sculptures, Garden furniture and ornaments, for everyone
to enjoy. Her pieces of work are displayed at various places
around Australia and now in Italy.
Natural inspirations has
been successfully involved with the Melbourne International Flower
and Garden Show for the past seven years. In the 1999 MIFGS Natural
Inspirations combined with Living Exteriors to produce the ‘Reflections
of a desert moon’ site, which won the gold medal for ‘landscape
design’. For this display Melissa created a 3.5 metre long
water feature, accompanying table and chairs, and a thematically
elaborate gate.

Following
this success in Melbourne and later in Sydney, interest in Melissa’s
work increased dramatically, and she expanded her output to meet
the commercial demand, successfully combing her creativity and originality
with the client’s requirements for the project. Recent
commissions include a screen and bi-fold door system, which will
be in the (inside out) magazine for April 2006
Melissa Thomas has been published in the
Australian Horticultural Magazine, Home beautiful, gardening Australia Flora
books, published in English books and her work has been shown on Burke’s
Backyard, foxtel lifestyle channel.
