Wattletree Garden & Studio
Located at 200 Wattletree Road, Hurstbridge 3099, the Wattletree Garden is a 40-year labour of love that has evolved and grown alongside Melissa's artistic career.
The Garden
Started over 40 years ago, the garden has evolved with the changing climate, adapting from a cottage-style garden to incorporate more native plantings. The result is an eclectic mix of garden rooms, each with its own character and charm.
As you wander through the garden, you'll discover:
- A life-size chess set — handcrafted metal chess pieces in a garden setting
- Excalibur — a dramatic sword-in-the-stone installation
- Mice movie theatre — a whimsical miniature cinema for mice
- Fairy garden — a magical corner of the garden
- Tree house — nestled among the branches
- Swing and stage — for impromptu performances
- Show garden displays — adapted as permanent garden rooms
The Studio
The Hurstbridge studio hosts glass workshops and tonal oil painting classes. Set among the beautiful garden surroundings, it's an inspiring place to learn and create.
